          Jagiroad College has carved a niche for itself through evolution and continuous up gradation of its teaching-learning standards by setting and developing its own benchmarks. The fairness, transparency and qualitative edge of its teaching-learning ambience have been sustained through the College’s endeavor to recruit teachers having sound academic background, good potential and enthusiasm by the College authority since its inception. The quality of its teachers can be gauged from the relatively younger average age of incumbents, diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, wide array of specializations, gender parity, readiness and acceptance of innovative teaching-learning mechanisms, diverse research interests and studies, empathy for students belonging to socio-economically marginalized and disadvantaged communities, promotion of social and cultural harmony, close contact with alumni, community orientation and an urge to accept fresh challenges and transcend boundaries in pedagogic practices and orientations. The NAAC’s assessment and accreditation report amply highlighted this cardinal aspect of Jagiroad College. The experience, knowledge and skills of the teaching staff have together erected a foundation for undertaking experiments and sustained application of the best of the “traditional” and “indigenous” teaching-learning mechanism and ICT based newer mechanisms Jagiroad College has been especially successful in assiduously building up a reputation for its transparent, unbiased, fair and continuous assessment and evaluation mechanisms. It strictly adheres to all the relevant examination rules and regulations of the Assam Higher Secondary Council, Gauhati University and IGNOU. The Annual Examination of Higher Secondary First Year is conducted strictly in accordance with the rules of the AHSEC.
