A report on National Seminar organized by Education Department in Collaboration with the Jagiroad Branch of Assam Science Society
A two day UGC sponsored National Seminar on “Inclusive Growth and Access to Micro-Finance in the North East India” was held on 11th and 12th Aug, 2017. On 11th Aug, Honourable Rector Prof. H. P. Sarma of GU has inaugurated the session and Dr. B. Saikia of Rangia College has attended as the Key Note Speaker. The Session was Presided over by the Principal Dr. B. C. Neog of the College. The guests were introduced by the Joint Convenor Mr. Sanjib Ghimire and Mrs. R. G. Chutia. Vice-Principal Mr. P. C. Gogoi and Convenor Dr. P. Bhandari offer introductory speech on the occasion. Principal offered his welcome address on the occasion. The vote of thanks was offered by Mrs. R. G. Chutia.
Altogether 104 scholars have presented their papers out of 112 submitted papers from 11 Universities and 52 Educational establishments. The papers were presented in 6 technical parallel sessions whch were chaired by Dr. B. Saikia(Rangia College), Dr. R. Mahanta(Eco Dept, GU), Dr. H. C. Deka (former Principal i/c, Dimoria College), Dr. B. K. Sarma (Principal, BSB College), Mr. K. M. Gohain (NABARD, Shillong) and Md. L. H. Mazumder (NRLM).
The concluding session was chaired by the Principal and attended by Dr. B. K. Sarma and Mr. Kanchan Moni Gohain.
